After I was diagnosed, I realized that my mother must also have the disease, and that both her parents likely had it!  I asked my children and grandchildren to be tested (only half complied!) but of that half, half of them were positive.  (of the other half, likely half are also positive). 

If both parents are celiac, your chances are nearly 100%.  If one parent is, 50-50.
