A new pill may help sufferers of celiac disease, KNBC's Dr. Bruce Hensel reported.Celiac disease is a digestive disease that interferes with the absorption of nutrients from food in the small intestine. About 3 million Americans have celiac disease.Sufferers cannot tolerate a protein called gluten, found in wheat, rye, and barley, according to the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse.
